February at Northwoods ELCP is always a favorite because the theme of the month is incredibly simple: learning how to be a good friend. For toddlers and preschoolers, sharing, patience, and empathy don't always come naturally, so we spend these few weeks practicing what kindness actually looks like in real life.
Our Valentine’s Day parties were a total hit. If you were here that day, you would have seen classrooms flooded with bright smiles, handmade card exchanges, and a lot of proud kids showing off the treats they made. We use these moments to teach the kids how to lift each other up, and it’s incredible to see them start to cheer for their friends' successes.

The absolute highlight of the month, though, was our campus Build-A-Bear Workshop Party.
Every single child got the chance to stuff their own plush animal friend right here at school. But before they tucked the little satin hearts safely inside, our teachers and students paused, bowed their heads, and prayed over their new bears together.
It was one of those beautiful moments that perfectly captures who we are as a faith-based school. It wasn’t just about getting a new toy; it was a tangible, hands-on lesson about God's love and how we care for one another. The kids left school that day squeezing their new bears tightly, and honestly, the parents loved it just as much as the kids did.
